A full body harness combined with a very short or adjustable lanyard to create a fall restraint system. Please note this will require you to specify the right length of lanyard for the height of your operators and the position of each lift’s anchor point. One lanyard will not fit all people and applications, you may have to use several lengths depending on the situation. You can also use adjustable lanyards which provide greater flexibility, however many times operators simply adjust them to the maximum length, therefore removing its ability to restrain a fall and defeating the purpose of the system. This is the only acceptable solution for one man, push around type aerial lifts, if you are using fall protection in them. Full body harness and a self retracting life line, which depending on the specifications of the system, may be used as fall restraint in preventing a fall or as fall protection, limiting a fall to a very short distance.

How to Cut Down a Tree With a Cherry Picker Danny Donahue Updated February 21, Cutting down trees is a complicated process that must be performed correctly to avoid property damage, injury or even death. Felling a large tree a small piece at a time in a controlled manner will help minimise the risk. A mobile elevating work platform, such as a cherry picker, should be used to cut down large trees to give the cutter a stable work area and make the job as safe as possible.

Engine Camaro and Firebird: It only makes sense to remove it the same way. By Paul Johnson – March 1, Contributors: Sitting atop the K-member is the LS1 engine. To get the engine out is a chore no matter how you do it. The way the factory put the engine in is through the bottom, marrying the subframe to the body. There really isn’t much holding the the two together, yet the bolts which do hold it in are substantial.
This article covers one of the two ways for taking the engine out and that is through the bottom of the car. With that in mind, you need to create a pair of wooden “towers” to set the jack stands on when supporting the front of the vehicle seen in Figure 1. The ones enthusiasts created are about 14″ square on the base and 15″ tall. Use 2×6″ boards and screw them together using 3″ deck screws.
You may need to adjust the base size of the towers to ensure your jack stands sit plainly on them. This article also assumes you’ll be leaving the wiring harness attached to the engine as you pull it out.

Legality[ edit ] Cherry picking is uncommon but legal in organized basketball. In some amateur leagues, cherry picking—defined as a defender remaining in the opponents’ backcourt after the opponents have advanced the ball to their forecourt —is a violation, penalized by loss of possession and of any resulting points. Another method is “bolting” or “breaking” toward the other goal the moment the opponents launch a shot, without waiting to see the outcome of the shot.
If the shot fails and the defense gets the rebound, the cherry picker can be positioned to receive a long pass and take an unguarded shot.

Cherry picker hydrauylic cylinder help? Based on what I can see I’m assuming these go on the end of the ram plus the seal around the top of the ram. I’d say that the nylon one is the backup for the main cup seal which is the real tricky one to get it always is on jacks. I’m guessing that the end of the ram is turned into two steps. One for the nylon backup and a smaller one for the seal. At that point the seal can be retained one of several ways including bolt and washer, or simply a small shoulder on the end of the ram that it slips over.
The shoulder that the seal goes onto is another matter. It’s nearly impossible to get measurements from the seals themselves when doing jobs like these. Get me the measurements of the groove including height and diameter as well as a good measurement of the bore and I can see what I can find. You might end up needing to do some small modifications to the groove size if it’s odd ball enough if memory serves me right you’ve got someone out there close with a lathe.
Or we might need to have a custom seal made. It’s not dirt cheap but the company I use for seals doesn’t charge a sky high minimum like most out there.
