The paper focused on the abolition of slaves and was printed until the death of its creator. For over thirty years, Jonesborough has been the location for the National Storytelling Festival. The town is home to the International Storytelling Center Campus, which serves as a meeting place for storytellers and their audiences. Present day Jonesborough is a beautiful historic town, whose buildings and historical artifacts have been preserved and cherished for residents and visitors to enjoy.
