Obviously, if you are dependent on auto-focus, these are not lenses that you will be interested in. But if you are like me, and enjoy the manual focus process, and the feel of a true manual focus lens, then these are a few beauties for you to look into. It has been said that this lens is one of the best 50mm lenses ever produced by Canon. As far as image quality, it is excellent. Sharp from corner to corner, with no noticeable issues. The build, if you ask me, is way better than any other 50mm lens that you will be able to find in that price range. It is known for its wonderful color reproduction and in my experience, is a very sharp lens. Not only is it built better, but it produces a much better image, in my opinion.

I have said, in the past, that you should move toward full frame sensors. I have always championed full frame sensors. At the end of the day, full frame sensors beat APS sized and smaller sensors. The whole reason I bought an original x was because it had the largest sensor I could find in a small camera. It had been a number of years since I had shot an APS crop frame sensor. I replaced that with a Nikon D3 full frame and then moved on to the Canon 5d2, also full frame.
Full frame cameras are better. I started shooting personal work with my little Fuji.
An exciting, humbling, frustrating, mind-blowing experience. Sports Photography with the NEX Ever since I learned the confirmed specifications for the camera, I was interested in it for my first non-point-and-shoot camera purchase, my past cameras consisting of a borrowed Nikon d40 and d , among various compacts I had around. Soon after this, I learned how upon purchasing an adapter, mounting any lens ever made with full metering was possible.
Then, I became truly fixated on the camera, as I previously only used manual focus lenses with the two Nikon bodies:
I found this website very helpful in looking at the different models. There are lots of Ikonta models, each with different features, different film size, different lenses but all looking quite similar. For me it was basically a process of elimination until I was sure it was a Super Ikonta A .
Temporal Knight 10 year old Harry finds a chest left by his mother with books on some of her favorite subjects. Discovering he has a talent for understanding and creating runes sets Harry onto a very different path than anyone had expected. Shortcuts, inventions, and a bit of support go a long way! I do not own anything related to Harry Potter. If I did I would be a far richer man. And I’d be a woman. I also don’t own Bathsheda Babbling.
However with what Shiva has morphed into I probably own her. If someone actually lives at the location I chose for Shiva’s apartment I don’t own your house. I don’t own Starcraft, which is a bit of shame since some of their tech is awesome and Kerrigan is amazing even when she’s fully evil. I’d be her evil lieutenant in a heartbeat. Reviews are of course appreciated but certainly not required. I’ve gotten a few people mentioning I should put in a listing of the official rune stones that Harry has made to this point.
While some of you may be familiar with vintage glass, some of you may not. Either way, old glass is something you should be glad to know something about. Commonly, vintage glass is a reference to a group of lenses that are older, from the MF manual focus era. Let me point out the many advantages vintage glass has over modern day AF auto focus lenses.
Both the high supply and low demand as well as the much simpeler technologies used in the lenses, they are relatively much, much cheaper.

Are Your Lenses Really “Hot”?!! Industar 61 lens lanthanum glass Lens Faults Pages Photo. Net on Radioactive Lenses gamma levels.. Radioactive Pentax Lens GM tube sound file.. Govt Surplus “Hot” Cameras and Lenses You will find two kinds of radioactive lenses – those that were contaminated and sold as government surplus, and those that are naturally “hot” or radioactive due to the radioactive elements or radioactive impurities used in their manufacture.
If you want to buy some slightly radioactive lenses and cameras, the U. Government has a lot of them for sale – cheap!. Maybe some of those bargains you got on EBAY are “hot” in a different sense than you might have thought! I am assuming that heavily contaminated and radioactive government surplus items end up in government low level radioactive waste land-fills or other burial sites.
So if your government surplus bargain camera or lens is contaminated, it is probably only “lightly” contaminated. That’s good news, I guess?

SHARE Although studying creativity is considered a legitimate scientific discipline nowadays, it is still a very young one. In the early s, a psychologist named J. Guilford was one of the first academic researchers who dared to conduct a study of creativity. He challenged research subjects to connect all nine dots using just four straight lines without lifting their pencils from the page.
Today many people are familiar with this puzzle and its solution. In the s, however, very few were even aware of its existence, even though it had been around for almost a century.

I realize this post might be consider heresy on a digital photography website and yet, I type about moving away from all digital and incorporating some old-fashioned analog film cameras in your photo kit. I do see some value in picking up a film camera on the cheap. On one hand, I learned in the days of film and the steep cost for making mistakes forced me to learn to see light, think about it, quantify it and set my exposure accordingly.
That way works and has for over a century. But digital allows for instant feedback and to see cause and effect in real-time with Live View modes. This can also help but can also be a crutch. It can also frustrate the heck out of you.

With the release of the Sony A7 Mark II reviewed here , using adapted lenses becomes even more exciting, as these old lenses suddenly become image stabilized lenses. The reasons below will, in many cases, be similar for any other adapted lens system. I use Canon FD because over the years I simply happened to pick up quite a few FD lenses, so when adding the few remaining gaps, it made sense to stick with FD.
All of these systems had some seriously excellent glass. The major benefits of full frame are the ability to have shallower depth of field, as well as some improved dynamic range and high ISO noise control. However, these advantages largely disappear if you are using slower lenses on the full frame kit. However, manual focus lenses, especially those from rangefinder systems or older SLR systems, are significantly smaller than their modern AF counterparts.
Of course, the FE is a significantly better lens optically, but the FD 50mm is actually quite good. This goes for any of the other systems. Similar size reductions are available throughout the lenses.

How to determine age of a Canon lens Posted on Feb 10, Have you ever wondered how old is your Canon lens? If you buy a new lens from an authorized dealer, the chances are, the lens was manufactured fairly recently. So if you bought your lens new, you have a good idea how old your lens is. Their character is not too clinical unlike that of many modern lenses and also not too crazy I love Helios but it can be too much for some stuff , so they are perfect for all kinds of projects from general corporate to shorts and music videos.
